Cannes Cinefondation has selected 13 student short films from 11 countries to screen at the festival, including the first-ever selections from Belgium’s University of Sint-Lukas and Harvard University in the US.

The films were selected from 1,600 entries submitted by film schools across the globe. The films range from seven to 60 minutes in length.

The Cinefondation and Shorts Jury, led by Atom Egoyan, will choose the best three films to receive awards on May 21.
