Director Sherry Hormann has come aboard The No Game, a teenage love story for Doris Kirch’s Blue Angel Films.

The contemporary story, written by Elisabeth Fein and David Abramowitz, is set against the backdrop of Middle East tensions.

Hormann’s latest film was Desert Flower, about Somali model Waris Dirie, starring Liya Kebede, Sally Hawkins and Meera Syal.

The No Game is about Sara, an 18-year-old Jewish girl from Manhattan’s Upper West Side, who has a voyage of self-discovery. The film will shoot on location in New York and Israel.

German producer Kirch previously worked on films including Not A Lovestory and Miss Conception.
