FilmNation has reported a roaring trade here on Sofia Coppola’s Bling Ring, licensing rights to Village Roadshow in Australia, Alliance in Canada and Lucky Red in Italy, among others.

Deals have also closed in Australia (Village Roadshow), Canada (Alliance), Spain (Vertigo), Russia (MGN), Portugal (Lusomundo), Hong Kong (Golden Scene), Latin America (Sun), South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Indonesia (PT Amero), Israel (Shani Film), Greece (Seven Films/Spentzos Film) and Iceland (Sam Film).

It was announced previously that StudioCanal will open the film in the UK, Tobus in Germany, Pathe in France, Benelux and Switzerland and Tohokushinsha in Japan.

Coppola is production in Los Angeles on Bling Ring, which is based on true events about teenage friends whose plan to burgle celebrity homes for a lark spins out of control.

Emma Watson stars alongside Leslie Mann, Taissa Farmiga, Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Claire Julian and Georgia Rock.

Coppola directs from her own screenplay and is producing with Roman Coppola and Youree Henley. Nala Films’ Emilio Diez Barroso and Darlene Caamano Loquet serve as executive producers alongside Fred Roos, Michael Zakin, Paul Rassam and Francis Ford Coppola.
