Telefilm Canada has launched 10 Canadians To Watch At Cannes, a timely list of talent headed for the Croisette in May that includes eOne sales executive Charlotte Mickie.

eOne’s evp of international film sales previously served as MD of Maximum Film and before that worked at Paris-based Celluloid Dreams and headed Alliance Independent.

Mickie will be in Cannes selling, among others, Chloé Robichaud’s Un Certain Regard entry Sarah Préfère La Course, David Cronenberg’s Maps To The Stars, Atom Egoyan’s Queen Of The Night, Michael Dowse’s F Word and Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais’ Whitewash.

Saskatchewan director Jefferson Moneo’s latest short Going South will be one of 18 Cinéfondation films and is part of Telefilm’s Not Short On Talent screenings in the market and the Short Film Corner venue; Quebec producer Stephane Rituit worked on Marie-Hélène Cousineau and Madeline Piujuq Ivalu’s Uvanga, which premieres during Telefilm’s Perspective Canada market screenings.

Director Robichaud from Quebec is in Un Certain Regard with Sarah Préfère La Course; Ontario director Rob Stewart’s documentary, Revolution, will be part of Telefilm’s Perspective Canada screenings at the market; and Alberta director Kyle Thomas’s short The Post is part of Telefilm’s Not Short On Talent screenings at the market and the Short Film Corner venue.
