EXCLUSIVE: Cast includes Kirsten Dunst and Adam Scott.

Elle Driver has added black comedy The Bachelorette to its slate.

The film, written and directed by Leslye Headland, and based on her stage play, is produced by Gary Sanchez Productions and BCDF Pictures. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jessica Elbaum, Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra and Lauren Munsch are producers.

Chris Henchy is executive producing.

Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott and Casey Wilson are to star with more cast to be announced. Elle Driver is handling world sales outside North America where CAA is repping the film.

The femme-centric indie is the story of three unhappy but beautiful women who, ten years after high school, are off to the NYC wedding of a girl they used to call “pigface.” Fueled by jealousy and resentment, the pre-nuptial bender becomes a night they’ll never forget.

This marks Headland’s feature directorial debut. She was previously a writer on FX series Terriers.
