EXCLUSIVE: Glen Basner and the sales team have closed key territories on the Anthony Hopkins and Colin Farrell thriller Solace financed by Claudia Bluemhuber’s Silver Reel.

Production is scheduled to kick off on May 28 on the cat-and-mouse tale of a detective who enlists the help of a doctor with second sight to track a killer. Rights have gone to SND for France, Roadshow Films for Australia and New Zealand and eOne for Spain.

FilmNation has closed a slew of deals on the Flynn Picture Co Production with IM Global’s pan-Asian rights-buying division Apsara for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Rights have gone for CIS (West), Latin America (Sun), Japan (Pony Canyon), South Korea (Dreamwest Pictures), Portugal (ZON Audiovisuais), Benelux (eOne), South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Eastern Europe (Revolutionary Releasing), Switzerland (Ascot Elite), Greece (Spentzos/Seven), Middle East (Italia Film), Israel (Shani Films/ Lev Cinemas), Turkey (Aqua Group) and Iceland (Sam Film).

As previously reported Telemunchen will distribute in Germany and Austria.

Afonso Poyart will direct Solace from a screenplay by Sean Bailey, Ted Griffin, James Vanderbilt and Peter Morgan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Abbie Cornish also star.

Beau Flynn, Tripp Vinson, Thomas Augsberger and Bluemhuber produced and Matthias Emcke, Gerd Schepers, Jacob Pechenik and Bailey served as executive producers. UTA represents US rights.
