Ambitious Highland Film Group (HFG) has come on to handle world sales on crime thriller The Trust starring Nicolas Cage and Jack Huston.

Alex and Ben Brewer will direct from a screenplay by Ben Brewer and Adam Hirsch about two crooked police officers plunged into a web of corruption after they discover a safe filled with mysterious contents.

Molly Hassell and Braxton Pope produce and Mike Nilon will serve as executive producer with HFG’s Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier are executive producing

The Trust is a Hassell Free Production in association with financier Electric Shadow Fund, the UK venture launched in January by Jay Taylor, John Jencks and Alexa Seligman that plans to fund three to five films in the next year.

HFG’s Cannes slate includes Atlas Independent’s The Wright Girls starring Jessica Alba, Your Right Mind with Katherine Heigl and Ben Barnes and action comedy Barely Lethal starring Hailee Steinfeld, Samuel L Jackson and Alba.
