Ironclad 2 sells for Content

EXCLUSIVE: Content Film has done a roaring trade on Ironclad: Battle For Blood, licensing a slew of territories led by XLrator Media for the US rights and Warner Bros for the UK.

Jonathan English’s follow-up to his 2011 Medieval epic will open in France through Metropolitan, Australia through Transmission, Germany through Square One and Canada through Mongrel.

Deals have closed in Scandinavia (NonStop), CIS and Baltic States (Zao West), China (HGC Entertainment), Japan (Nettai Museum), South Korea (Linetree Entertainment) and Indonesia (PT Amero).

Rights have also gone to Portugal (Lusomundo), Benelux (Dutch Film Works), Middle East (Gulf Film), Czech Republic & Slovakia (Bowline) and Turkey (Mediamax). Jaguar will distribute on airlines and ships.

English co-wrote with Steven McDool and directed the story, which stars Michelle Fairly and Roxanne McKee of Game Of Thrones alongside Danny Webb.

Content is showing footage from the film, which is in post and follows survivors of the Great Siege Of Rochester Castle as they repel Celtic raiders. Mythic International Entertainment’s Rick Benattar, Andrew Curtis and English produce.
