Myriad Pictures has boarded a new sales title here in Cannes, acquiring international rights to the comedy Life Itself starring Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton.

Richard Loncraine will direct from Charlie Peters’ screenplay adaptation of the novel Heroic Measures by Jill Ciment.

Freeman and Keaton play a married couple in New York who get sucked into a comical bidding war over the course of a hectic weekend when they put their apartment up for sale.

CAA and WME Global co-represent North American rights.

Revelations Entertainment produces Life Itself in association with Latitude Productions. Lori McCreary, Curtis Burch, Charlie Peters and Tracy Mercer serve as producers. Revelation’s Morgan Freeman is the executive producer.

“We are happy to be working with Morgan and Lori again — Myriad previously handled international sales for 10 Items or Less — and of course the extraordinary Diane Keaton on this clever and timely comedy set in the world of New York real estate and art,” said Myriad CEO Kirk D’Amico.

D’Amico and svp of legal and business affairs David Ducar negotiated the deal for Myriad.
