EXCLUSIVE: UK distributor picks up anticipated Amer follow-up from Bac.

The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears

UK outfit Metrodome has pre-bought giallo-style thriller The Strange Colour of Your Body’s Tears from Bac Films.

Writer-directors Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani’s follow up to cult genre hit Amer, which Quentin Tarantino listed as among his favourite films of 2010, stars Klaus Tange, Jean-Michel Vovk, Sylvia Camarda and Sam Louwyck.

The surreal drama follows a husband who plunges into a world of nightmare and violence while searching for his missing wife.

Producers are Eve Commenge of Anonymes Films and Francois Cognard of Tobina Film.

Giles Edwards, Metrodome’s head of acquisitions commented: “Working to bring the new film by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani to UK audiences is a distinct thrill. They are visionary talents, trail-blazing genre mavericks and meticulous visual stylists. Audiences better brace themselves for something special.”

“After seeing the first images we knew that Helene and Bruno were about to deliver, after Amer, another stylishly directed movie,” added Bac’s Gilles Souza. “The teaser shown here in Cannes promises a disturbing, suspensful and puzzling movie. We’re glad to collaborate again with Metrodome on what seems to be an upcoming cult film”.
