Screen International is to presenting a series of publications and events at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and Cannes Market, which kick off today (May 13).
Screen’s editorial and sales teams will again be based at the Majestic Hotel. Upcoming events are:
May 14 (Thurs)
Screen is the official media partner of the Marche du Film’s Opening night party on the Majestic Beach.
May 18 (Mon)
Screen in collaboration with Film London, the British Film Commission and BBC Films, is hosting a drinks reception (by invitation only).
May 16-18 (Sat-Mon)
Screen Contributing Editor Wendy Mitchell is to moderate two talks as part of the Doc Corner Doc_Talk series.
Industry panelists are set to include Isabel Arrate Fernandez, manager of the IDFA Bertha Fund; Thom Powers, documentary programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and artistic director for Doc NYC & Stranger Than Fiction; and Dennis Lim, director of programming at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
Mitchell will also chair a panel on Sunday (May 17), with UK producer Finola Dwyer about assembling the co-production for John Crowley’s Brooklyn.
May 19 (Tues)
Screen Asia Editor Liz Shackleton will moderate a roundtable event looking at VOD opportunities in China as part of the Marche’s China Summit.
Among the panelists are Li Yansong, VP of iQIYI and president of iQIYI Motion Pictures, and Marc Ganis, president, CEO an co-founder of Jiaflix Enterprises.
May 20 (Weds)
Screen’s Future Leaders (Producers), revealed in the May 2015 edition of the magazine, will attend the Producers Network Closing Night Reception.

Of course, Screen International will be publishing its pre-eminent dailies throughout the festival, available at more venues and major hotels than ever, and covering all the news, reviews and screening information from the festival and market.
