Visit Films heads to Cannes with Sur, Wait, Flex

EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Kampe’s Visit Films has added Michael Polish’s Big Sur, M Blash’s The Wait and dance documentary Flex is Kings to its Croisette line-up.

Big Sur [pictured] debuted at Sundance earlier this year and charts three sojourns by Beat writer Jack Kerouac to a cabin in the Californian beauty spot owned by poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

Jean-Marc Barr stars in the drama alongside Kate Bosworth, Josh Lucas and Anthony Edwards.

The Wait premiered recently at SXSW and stars Chloé Sevigny and Jena Malone as sisters contemplating their late mother’s possible resurrection following a mysterious phone call.

Documentary Flex Is Kings, fresh from its world premiere at Tribeca, follows a group of fearless young ‘flex’ dancers from the streets of Brooklyn who strive to make something of themselves by competing in awe-inspiring ‘battles’ of acrobatic DIY dance.

Kampe will also continue sales on Shane Carruth’s Sundance entry Upstream Color, which stars Carruth and Amy Seimetz in a romance set against the backdrop of a sinister plot to create a single organism.

New York-based Visit Films’ slate includes A Teacher, Halley, It Felt Like Love and Il Futuro.
