Voltage takes on Patrick Wilson comedy

Barry Munday will also star Chloe Sevigny and Colin Hanks.

Voltage Pictures’ is tempting buyers in Cannes with the comedy Barry Munday starring Patrick Wilson (pictured), Chloe Sevigny and Colin Hanks.

The completed film, which screens today (May 17), was directed by Chris D’Arienzo tells of a womaniser who wakes up one morning after being attacked by an angry father to find his testicles are missing. Judy Greer, Mae Whitman, Malcolm McDowell, Billy Dee Williams and Cybil Shepherd round out the key cast.

Stone Douglass of Far Hills Pictures, Matt Weaver of Corner Store Entertainment, Mickey Barold and Eric Kopeloff produced the film, which is based on the novel Life Is A Strange Place by Frank Turner Hollon.

Voltage’s Nicolas Chartier has also acquired international rights to the upcoming animated family feature Gaturro, which is nearing the end of production.

Based on the famous Argentinean cartoon strip, the 3D animated brings to screen the story of Gaturro the cat, whose love for his neighbouring cat Agatha constantly gets him into trouble. The picture is being co-produced by Toonz Entertainment in Singapore and Illusion Studios in Argentina. Gustavo Cova is directing.
