EXCLUSIVE: The Weinstein Company takes English-speaking territories on Eva; UK deals signed for The Angels’ Share and Carnage.

Right out of the gate, Wild Bunch has closed a series of deals in English-speaking territories and elsewhere on a slew of titles.

The Weinstein Co. has acquired all English-speaking territories to Eva. Set in 2041, Kike Maíllo’s film follows the story of a cyber-engineer seeking to create a child android who discovers unexpected things about his young niece. Claudia Vega, Daniel Bruhl, Marta Etura, Alberto Amann and Lluis Homar star.

Meanwhile, Wild Bunch has closed deals on Stephen Frears’ Lay The Favorite with Canada (Alliance), Australia (Village Roadshow) and Wild Bunch France and Italy.

Ken Loach [pictured]’s The Angels’ Share has sold to the UK (eOne) and France (Le Pacte). Roman Polanski’s Carnage has been acquired by Optimum in the UK.

Monica Bellucci-Robert De Niro love story The Ages Of Love has been sold to Alta in Spain. Germany’s Telepool took Mary Harron’s The Moth Diaries.

Wild Bunch France will distribute James Marsh’s Shadow Dancer starring Clive Owen and Andrea Riseborough which Paramount UK recently acquired.

Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming Only God Forgives was picked up by Wild Side in France which also took Hirokazu Kore-Eda’sI Wish.

Finally, Japan’s Comstock took Wild Bunch titles The Squad by Jaime Mario Osorio Marquez along with Philippe Garrel’s That Summer and Nikita Mikhalkov’s The Citadel: Burnt By The Sun 3. Wild Bunch sales
