11th éQuinoxe Germany Screenwriters’ Workshop takes place this week in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

David Magee, Jim Hart and Susanne Schneider are among the screenwriters taking part in the 11th éQuinoxe Germany Screenwriters’ Workshop which is running until Oct 16 in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Along with five other international screenwriters, directors and producers, Magee, Hart and Schneider will be advising the nine participants of this year’s workshop through a series of intensive one-to-one sessions. The nine screenwriters picked for this year’s workshop are Elena von Saucken, Hartmut Schoen, Jovan Arsenic, Thom Fitzgerald, Romed Wyder, Rafa Russo, Gunnar Vikene, Phil O‘Shea and Hans van Nuffel.

As well as the one-on-one sessions, the nine screenwriters will be briefed by media lawyer Dr. Stefan Rüll on writers’ rights and Oliver Zeller of the MFG Filmsubsidy Baden-Wuerttemberg will hold a presentation for all participants on financing in Germany and the region Baden-Württemberg.

éQuinoxe Germany was founded in Berlin in 2001 by Ellen Winn Wendl, Susan Schulte and Susanne Schneider to foster a more thorough script development for cinema productions and to build networks between European and international filmmakers. The Screenwriters’ Workshop is supported by the MEDIA 2007 programme of the European Commission, the German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg, the Austrian Film Institute, the German Federal Film Board, Film Nova Scotia, the Vestnorsk Filmsenter, as well as the Western Norway Film Commission.
