Now in its third edition, the festival will take place across various London locations from June 20 - July 3.

The third London Indian Film Festival is to open with Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur.

Based on true incidents, the Northern India set revenge story will have its world premiere in Cannes Directors’ Fortnight section.

The Festival, which is supported by Film London will take place at various London locations including Cineworld Haymarket, BFI Southbank, the O2 and ICA.

The festival is also teaming up with Tate Modern to present a showcase in Indian experimental film curated from Bangalore.

Cary Rajinder Sawhney, festival director said: “We aren’t just showing Indian films for Indian audiences, but opening the door to the rich diversity of cinema in India today, to all audiences.”
