Germanidi has served as manager for the festival since 2012. President and co-founder Peter Baxter will continue to oversee the Slamdance organisation including the development of the Slamdance Studios distribution business.

Germanidi will set about preparing for the 2015 edition, set to run in Park City, Utah, from January 23-29.

“I am really grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the filmmaking community through Slamdance,” said Germanidi. “As we’re starting the next 20 years, we’re excited to welcome new talent into our creative family and together help independent cinema grow stronger.”

“As Slamdance evolves, I’m very glad Anna has agreed to serve as the festival’s new director,” said Baxter. “To have such a passionate leader who already knows Slamdance and has helped our community grow is invaluable for us as we move forward with our 21st festival.”
