Lia Rinaldo, former Artistic Director of the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is now managing director of Devour! The Food Film Fest.

Devour!, previously the Slow Motion Food Film Fest, relaunches as a larger, annual event in Wolfville, Nova Scotia from November 13-17.

The festival is managed by organisers Michael Howell and Rinaldo and overseen by an advisory board made up of key players from the film, business & culinary sectors including honorary members director Robert Kenner (Food, Inc.) and actor/director Jason Priestley.

The event will include more than 30 screenings of international food-related films, gala dinners, industry sessions, a farmer’s market, wine tours, food demos and tastings and more. The programme will launch this autumn.

The event’s supporters include Acadia University, Al Whittle Theatre, Taste of Nova Scotia, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Community Business Development Corporations, Destination Southwest Nova, Slow Food Nova Scotia, Slow Food International, Al Whittle Theatre, Ticketpro Inc., Spectacle Group, Front and Central, Privet House, Blomidon Inn and The Library Pub and Merchant Wine Tavern.

Rinaldo left AFF in December after 22 years there.
