Odessa’s Film Industry Platform (FIP) has ambitions to become a leading venue for international film professionals in Eastern Europe.

This year’s edition, which will be held during the 4th Odessa International Film Festival (OIFF) from July 12-20, will have a pitching forum of ten projects in development or production with the potential for co-production with Western Europe, and financing in place from such post-Soviet states as Georgia, Armenia and Belarus.

In addition, master classes are planned on distribution in Western and Eastern Europe, cinema digitisation and film marketing.

Meanwhile, the festival organisers have announced that Roger Corman and Jiri Menzel will deliver workshops at the OIFF Summer Film School, and a retrospective will be dedicated to the work of Sergei Paradjanov along with the Ukraine premiere of Serge Avedikian and Olena Fetisova’s Paradjanov, starring Avedikian as the iconic director.
