Festival top brass announced the line-up addition on Monday [10] and said the New Line horror film would play as a special screening. The film received its world premiere on Sunday [9] at the Nocturna International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain.
James Wan directed The Conjuring, a haunted house story starring Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor.
Wan will attend Q&A sessions following two screenings on Jun 21. Warner Bros will release The Conjuring on Jul 19.
Chad Hayes and Carey W Hayes wrote the screenplay and Tony DeRosa-Grund, Peter Safran and Rob Cowan produced. Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter served as executive producers.
The LA Film Festival is set to run from Jun 13-23.
