Harrison Ford will receive the Santa Barbara International Films Festival’s 2010 Kirk Douglas Award For Excellence In Film.

Ford, next to be seen in the comedy Morning Glory and next year’s Cowboys & Aliens, will collect the honour on November 19.

The actor burst on to the scene in American Graffiti and earned mainstream popularity in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films.

He earned an Oscar nomination for Witness and has starred in BladeRunner, Frantic, The Fugitive, PatriotGames and WorkingGirl, among others.

The 26th Santa Barbara International Film Festival is set to run from January 27-February 6, 2011
