Richard Dreyfuss and Jon Landau will be honoured at the Israel Film Festival when it kicks off in Los Angeles next month.

Dreyfuss will collect the 2010 IFF Career Achievement Award while the Oscar-winning producer Landau (Avatar, Titanic) will receive the Visionary Award at the festival’s 25th anniversary gala awards dinner on October 20.

“We are delighted to recognise the incredible talents of Richard Dreyfuss and Jon Landau at our 25th anniversary gala,” IFF founder and executive director Meir Fenigstein said.

“They have both achieved phenomenal success throughout their careers. Their continued support of the Jewish community and Israel also commands the highest respect.”

The festival will run from October 20-November 4 and will present more than 30 films.
