The world premiere of Laurens Grant’s film will screen at the event in Durham, North Carolina, on Apr 12 and is the filmmaker’s first feature for PBS.

Grant will take part in a moderated on-stage conversation with Stanley Nelson, the documentarian who wrote and produced Jesse James and will receive this year’s 2012 Full Frame Tribute.

The pair previously collaborated when Grant produced Freedom Riders, which Nelson directed, and served as coordinating producer on Nelson’s The Murder Of Emmett Till.

As part of the tribute, Full Frame will screen The Black Press: Soldiers Without Swords, Jonestown: The Life And Death Of Peoples Temple, A Place of Our Own and Sweet Honey In The Rock: Raise Your Voice.

The festival is scheduled to run from Apr 12-15.
