The Los Angeles Irish Film Festival will open with the US premiere of Kieron J Walsh’s Jump and Gary Kenneally’s tell-all documentary Let the People Sing.

The Los Angeles Irish Film Festival will open with the US premiere of Kieron J Walsh’s Jump and Gary Kenneally’s tell-all documentary Let the People Sing.

“We are thrilled to be presenting some notable premieres and we are honored to be paying tribute to one of Ireland’s most prominent cultural figures, Lelia Doolan,” said festival director Lisa McLaughlin.

Expected highlights of the festival will include Leila Doolan’s Bernadette: Notes On A Political Journey and Kirsten Sheridan’s teen drama Dollhouse.
 
The festival will also celebrate the fifth year of Leading Liberators and the Maddest, Baddest & Most Dangerous Irish Women Anywhere! event for groundbreaking art-house cinema in Ireland, which will be co-hosted by Fionnula Flanagan.
