Biutiful, Metropolis, Made In Daggenham, Snows of Kilimanjaro among films at the inaugural London Labour Film Festival.

Ken Loach and Mike Leigh will be at the inaugural London Labour Film Festival (Sept 13-15) to present their respective works, Navigators and High Hopes.

The festival will present 18 films touching on the issues of labour.

The selection includes  Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s Biutiful, Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and Nigel Cole’s Made In Dagenham.

The festival will also feature short films, live music performances during screenings and panel discussions.

Festival director Anna Burton said: “The event is intended to provide inspiration and discussion for those with an interest in labour, as well as broadening the minds of those new to the issues that these films explore.”
