Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio will be honoured during the sixth edition of the Los Angeles, Italia Film, Fashion And Art Festival that runs from Feb 20 to 26.
The American premiere of Bellocchio’s latest film Sorelle Mai will open the festival before a retrospective during the week that will include1965’s Fists In The Pocket to the more recent Vincere.
“Marco Bellocchio is the quintessential contemporary Italian director,” festival producer Pascal Vicedomini said. “We are honoured that he will be with us in Los Angeles for LA, ITALIA where we will unspool some of his most exciting films for our audience.
As previously announced the festival’s opening day will celebrate the career of the late producer Dino De Laurentiis, who died in November aged 91.
