Miami Dade College’s Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) has announced its inaugural ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) Co-Production Lab.

The Lab will take place from March 13-15 2014 during MIFF’s 31st edition that runs from March 7-16 2014. Festival executive director Jaie Laplante is pictured.

Since its inception in 1993, more than 180 feature producers from 23 European territories have joined the producers network ACE.

The three-day workshop, supported by MEDIA and MIFF’s VeoMiami industry programme, will bring together more than 30 European and Latin American film industry professionals to develop opportunities for collaboration.

The festival and a selection committee will select five projects from Latin American production companies to meet five projects from Europe in Miami for the Lab.
