The City Of Lights, City Of Angels film festival announced on Wednesday [27] preliminary programming for its upcoming 17th edition.

The programming is set to feature a range of tributes, classics, restorations and retrospectives of renowned French film-makers.

There will be a special presentation of Alain Resnais’ [pictured] Stavisky and the premiere of You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet, which is scheduled for a May US premiere.

To coincide with the tenth anniversary of the death of writer-director Maurice Pialat, there will be a tribute screening of To Our Loves.

Following the screenings of two recent films by Les Films des Tournelles on April 20, producer Anne-Dominique Toussaint will introduce the discussion, Focus On A Producer, exploring the producer’s role in French cinema and France’s financing system.

Wes Anderson was invited to include his favourite French film as part of the programme and selected The Fire Within.

In partnership with the Franco-American Cultural Fund, COL•COA will also screen a digitally restored version of Bay Of Angels.

COL•COA will run from Apr 15-22 and the full line-up will be revealed on Mar 26.
