Amo Bek-Nazaryan’s 1926 silent film Namus (Honor) will open the 13th annual Arpa International Film Festival in Hollywood on September 21.

The North American premiere of the newly restored print, the first full-length feature ever produced in Armenia, paints a portrait of a patriarchal society and the fate of a young woman within it.

The screening at The Egyptian Theatre will be followed by a celebration of Armenian Independence Day under the auspices of the Consul General Of The Republic of Armenia.

The festival will run until September 26. For full details visit the official website.
