Taal, who formerly worked at CineMart before moving to the Binger Filmlab, returns to IFFR as programmer.
The International Film Festival Rotterdam has appointed Bianca Taal as one of its programmers.
She will oversee the 2012 selection of features from Greece, Turkey, Israel, Iran and the Arab world.
She is also a member of the CineMart Selection Committee.
Taal returns to IFFR after working as head of programmes at the Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam from 2009 until now.
She takes the new post in November.
Prior to the Binger, she worked at IFFR since 2001, including serving as co-head of CineMart from 2005-2007 and as director of the Hubert Bals Fund from 2007-2009.
She is also on the moving images commission of the Rotterdam Culture Council and on the board of the Holland Animation Festival in Utrecht.
IFFR will run Jan 25-Feb 5.
