Stephen Frears’ comedy Tamara Drewe will launch the Caribbean event on December 1 in Nassau.

The film premried in Cannes and is based on Posy Simmonds’ graphic novel, which itself is inspired by Thomas Hardy’s classic Far From the Madding Crowd.

Sony Pictures Classics is releasing Tamara Drewe in the US. The festival runs from December 1-5.
