Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini’s The Extra Man (pictured) and Aaron Schneider’s Get Low bookend the 36th Seattle International Film Festival, set to run from May 20-June 13.

There will be a special tribute to Edward Norton and a screening of his most recent film, Leaves Of Grass, while Christian Carion’s KGB Saga Farewell is the centerpiece gala.

All in all 406 films will screen. The Ambiente: New Spanish Cinema spotlight on the films of Spain includes Agora, Cell 211,The Damned, Me Too, and The Dancer And The Thief.

Over the course of 25 days the festival will screen a diverse line-up that features Cyrus, Howl, Cane Toads: The Conquest – In 3D, Waiting For Superman, I Kissed A Vampire, and recently restored prints of John Ford’s Drums Along The Mohawk, Jean Renoir’s The River, Luchino Visconti’s Senso, and John Cassavetes’ Shadows.

There are world premieres for Amplified Seattle by John Jeffcoat, Miss Nobody by Tim Cox, Patagonia by Marc Evans, and The Family Tree by Vivi Friedman.

North American premieres include Born To Suffer by Miguel Albaladejo, Come Undone by Silvio Soldini, Crossing Hennessy by Ivy Ho, Paris Returnby Yossi Aviram, and Room In Rome by Julio Medem.
