The star of The Help will collect the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Outstanding Performer Of The Year Award on Jan 27, 2012.

Davis’ credits include Doubt, Traffic, Solaris and Far From Heaven.

Previous Outstanding Performer honourees include Colin Firth, Helen Mirren and Kate Winslet. The festival runs from Jan 26-Feb 5.
