The festival will end on May 3 with Ramona Diaz’s Journey documentary Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey, which follows the band and then new singer Arnel Pineda on their 2008 Revelation tour of the US and Pineda’s homecoming in Manila.

As previously announced, Benoit Jacquot’s Farewell, My Queen will open the festival on Apr 19.

The San Francisco Film Society will honour Blade Runner and Unforgiven screenwriter David Webb Peoples with the 2012 Kanbar Award for excellence in screenwriting on Apr 26.

It also emerged on Tuesday (27) that returning sponsor Grolsch will present the debut feature from Grolsch Film Works, a portmanteau called The Fourth Dimension directed by Harmony Korine from the US, Russia’s Alexsei Fedorchenko and Polish-born Jan Kwiecinski.
