The San Sebastian International Film Festival has confirmed a number of titles for its Zabaltegi-Pearls section.

These festival hits will compete for the festival’s audience award:

The Tree of Life, dir. Terrence Malick (US) Cannes Palme d’Or winner

Nader and Simin, A Separation, dir. Asghar Farhadi (Iran) Berlinale Golden Bear

The Artist, dir. Michel Hazanavicius (France) Cannes Best Actor for Jean Dujardin

Drive, dir. Nicolas Winding Refn (US) Cannes Best Director

Where Do We Go Now?, dir. Nadine Labaki (Lebanon-France) Cannes Un Certain Regard selection

Le Havre, dir. Aki Kaurismaki (Finland-France-Germany) Cannes Fipresci winner

Martha Marcy May Marlene, dir. Sean Durkin (US) Sundance directing award

Pina, dir. Wim Wenders (Germany-France) Berlinale selection

Tyrannosaur, dir. Paddy Considine (UK) Sundance best director

The 59th San Sebastian festival runs Sept 16-24. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s Intruders opens the festival.
