Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi drama will open the 20th anniversary edition of the Los Angeles Film festival on June 11.

Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, Ed Harris, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell and John Hurt star in the tale of a trans-global train in a post-apocalyptic world that serves as a microcosm of society.

Snowpiercer is a wild ride and a spectacular way to open the 20th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Film Festival, which is dedicated to the visionary spirit of LA that inspires artists around the world,” said festival director Stephanie Allain.

RADiUS-TWC will release Snowpiercer on June 27. The full LAFF programme will be announced n May 6. The festival is scheduled to run from June 11-19.
