Magnolia has swooped on world rights to the Guy Pearce and Cobie Smulders comedy set to premiere in Park City on January 27. Meanwhile A24 was understood to be in advanced talks for US rights to The End Of The Tour.

Christina Rogers and her team at Magnolia International will commence sales on Results at the EFM in Berlin next month.

Magnolia svp of acquisitions Dori Begley and director of acquisitions John Von Thaden negotiated the worldwide rights deal with ICM Partners.

Results is earmarked for a summer theatrical release in the US and takes place in the world of fitness in Austin, Texas, as a wealthy client disrupts the lives of two personal trainers.

Andrew Bujalski, who scored a critical hit at Sundance 2013 with Computer Chess, directed from his screenplay.

Kevin Corrigan also stars alongside Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Michael Hall, Brooklyn Decker and Constance Zimmer.

Paul Bernon, Sam Slater and Houston King produced and the executive producers are David Bernon, Greg Stewart and Sev Ohanian.

A24 is in advanced talks for US rights to The End Of The Tour, the David Foster Wallace film directed by James Ponsoldt and starring Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segel. Kilburn Media fully financed the drama.

Fortitude International represents non-US rights and closed a major deal with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions in Berlin 2014 for all English-speaking territories as well as Latin America and select Europen territories.

The film receives its world premiere in the Premieres strand on January 23.
