The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has set some major changes for visiting industry for its 2010 event, which takes place September 10-19

The 35th festival will see all press and industry screenings take place in downtown Toronto at both the Scotiabank Theatre (formerly the Paramount) and the TIFF Group’s brand new film centre, the Bell Lightbox.  The new host hotel is the Hyatt Regency, which is located next door to the Bell Lightbox.

Although the Bell Lightbox will not be totally operational by September, plans are to activate some of its five screens for press and industry screenings. The Scotiabank is two blocks away on Richmond Street West.

Visitors are expected to stay in the downtown area near the Bell Lightbox and not in the neighbourhoods around Yorkville as before.
