12 Years A Slave (US)

Dir Steve McQueen

Shame and Hunger both attracted awards attention and artist/director McQueen’s larger-scale third film is eagerly anticipated. With a hot cast that includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano and Paul Giamatti, 12 Years A Slave tells the true story of Solomon Northup, a freeman kidnapped and sold into slavery in 1841. Fox Searchlight releases the film in the US, while eOne has UK rights.
