The 50th anniversary screening of Mary Poppins is expected to be one of the highlights at the Tribeca Drive-In, set to run from April 17-19, alongside as the 30th anniversary screening of Splash.

The broader roster of free community events at the upcoming 13th Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) encompasses the Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair, which will transform a downtown street into a Tribeca Studios Backlot interactive film set.

Other attractions include the Tribeca Food Feast, a new Games For Change Public Arcade, live Broadway performances, arts and crafts and puppet shows.

The Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day will allow visitors to participate in athletic-themed activities like baseball, sailing and golf and offer the opportunity to meet some of New York’s sports stars, mascots and personalities.

“The family and free community events at TFF are longstanding and beloved traditions,” said Tribeca Family Festival creative director and producer Peter Downing. “I know the range of activities, from outdoor film screenings, to a hands-on look at how movies are made in New York, to the opportunity to meet local sports stars, provides something for everyone.”

The Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 16-27.
