New feature films by Serbia's Dusan Milic, Estonia's Ilmar Raag and Germany's Marc Meyer are among 22 projects being presented at the fifth edition of the Sofia Meetings pitching forum for second feature films from March 13-16.

For the first time this year, three of the projects selected for pitching at the Sofia Meetings are from participants of the EAVE producer training programme: Jean-Julien Chervier's White Grass, Toby Braeuhauser's Come In, and Ignas Miskinis's Low Lights.

Potential international partners attending the pitchings will include the producers Marc Baschet (ASAP), Danijel Hocevar (Emotionfilm), Herbert Schwering (Coin Film), Karl Baumgartner (Pandora Film), sales agents Sasha Wieser (EastWest Filmdistribution) and Tobias Pausinger (Match Factory), Irish Film Board CEO Simon Perry and MDM's Oliver Rittweger.

In addition, there will be a number of special events including Volker Schloendorff in conversation about cinema with Jean-Claude Carriere, screenwriter on the German director's last feature Ulzhan and the Bulgarian project The File Petrov, UK filmmaker Dom Rotheroe on Digital Cinema, Nik Powell unveiling 'the Gospel according to Nik Powell' about producing, and Lance Pettitt giving an overview of the current state of Irish cinema.

The Meetings will also host a reunion of the filmmakers Cristian Mungiu, Jasmila Zbanic, Nadejda Koseva, Stefan Arsenijevic, Kornel Mundruczo, and Mait Laas from the Lost and Found omnibus film which had its world premiere as the opening film of the Berlinale's Forum in 2005.
