Filming has begun in Los Angeles on RandallMiller's comedy drama Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing And Charm School,which stars Robert Carlyle and an ensemble cast including Marisa Tomei, JohnGoodman, Mary Steenburgen, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny DeVito.

Carlyle plays a man who embarks upon anadventure when he tries to help another fulfil his dying wish. Sean Astin,David Paymer, Sonia Braga, Miguel Sandoval, Camryn Manheim, Ernie Hudson andElden Henson also star.

Miller and Jody Savin co-wrote the screenplaybased on a short film by Miller.

Miller and Savin are producing with Los Angeles-based ShorelineEntertainment chief executive officer Morris Ruskin and producer Eileen Craft.

"We took the innocence and nostalgia of theshort and put it on a collision course with the unexpected reality of thepresent to comment on lost dreams, tarnished expectations and the foreverastonishing ways that our lives design themselves," Miller, whose creditsinclude Houseguest and The Sixth Man, said in a statement.

"This is a film with a resoundingly human story and a brilliant cast," added Ruskin. "We're confident it will charm moviegoers."
