Continuing its move into international sales, Bac Films is coming to Cannes this year with Silent Light in competition, La Influencia in the Fortnight and a stream of new offerings.

The sales arm of Bac Films will be selling Carlos Reygadas' Silent Light; a love story set in Mexico.

Reygadas' Battle In Heaven was a big market and festival title in 2005. La Influencia is a drama from Pedro Aguilera about a depressed mother who learns important lessons from her children.

Also on Bac's line up is thriller Melody's Smile from director Alfred Lot and starring Melanie Laurent and Eric Caravaca.

Further, Bac is re-teaming with Cesar winner Clovis Cornillac for Eden Log. The sci-fi film is from director Franck Ventiel; a promo reel will be available at Cannes. Bac's previous collaboration with Cornillac is Scorpion, a film announced during last year's Cannes festival. Directed by Julien Seri, the film is reflective of the current martial arts craze in France and elsewhere.

Also on Bac's slate is the award-winning Premonition from actor-turned-director Jean-Pierre Darroussin; Los Bastardos from director Amat Esclante and documentary Amazonia, The Green Planet by Luc Marescot.

Lastly, Bac (jointly with Why Not) has taken French distribution rights to the Romanian competition film 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days by Cristian Mungiu from Wild Bunch.
