FilmsIn Progress, the joint completion financing initiative of the San SebastianInternational Film Festival and the Latin American Film Festival of Toulouse,has unveiled the seven titles screening in the seventh edition March 17-18 inToulouse.

The titles were selected from among 47 entries from acrossLatin America. They will screen for producers, distributors, labs,broadcasters, festivals and other organisations and companies which could stepin to help complete the features, which are either still shooting or stuck inpost-production.

The films chosen include two each from Argentina, Chile andMexico, and one from Uruguay. From Argentina comes La Demolicion,Marcelo Mangone's tragicomic story of a factory closing starring NineQueens' Gaston Pauls; and Monobloc, by Caja Negra director LuisOrtega.

From Chile, Alfonso Gazitua's El Rey De San Gregorio,an unlikely love story set in a working class barrio; and Sebastian Campos' LaSagrada Familia, which participated in Films in Progress in San Sebastian lastyear.

The two Mexican titles are Amat Escalante's Sangre,from the producer of Japon; and Francisco Vargas' part one of ElViolin, a tale of a one-armed peasant who transports guerrilla arms in hisviolin case. Finally, Uruguayan Manuel Nieto's La Perrera is from thesame producers as 2004 festival hit Whisky.

The eighth edition of Films in Progress (Cine enConstruccion) will take place next September 20-21 in San Sebastian.
