Although the official line up won't be announced until August 19, the Deauville Festival of American Film has released some details of the upcoming event.

Bookending the festival are two Hollywood heavyweights: Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood. Ford's Hollywood Homicide, which was directed by Ron Shelton, will open the festival on Sept 5 while Clint Eastwood's Cannes contender Mystic River will close the 29th edition of the festival on Sept 14.

While Ford is scheduled to attend, there is no word yet on Eastwood making an appearance.

Tributes will be made to HBO Films and president Colin Callendar who will receive the Deauville Flame award.

Director Ridley Scott will also be on hand for a tribute with a screening of his latest film Matchstick Men.

James Ivory, whose latest film Le Divorce was shot in France, will also be honoured with a premiere of the film and screenings of his previous films.
