Fortissimo Films has signed a a multi-year streaming deal with Netflix, covering more than 60 titles, which will be available in to Netflix members in the US starting in September.

Titles included in the deal include arthouse titles in the Fortissimo library such as Jiang Wen’s Devils On The Doorstep, Tian Zhuangzhuang’s Go Master, Rashid Masharawi’s Haifa, Clara Law’s Goddess Of 1967 and Mark Dornford-May’s U-Carmen.

In addition to library titles, the deal also covers new films such as Mama Africa directed by Mika Kaurismaki.

The deals marks Fortissimo’s first direct deal with Netflix and its first major foray into the digital space, although it has previously concluded smaller licensing arrangements in Australia and the US.  

Netflix is available to stream from more than 800 devices including game consoles, Blu-ray players, Apple TV, tablets, smart phones and smart TVs.
