Online film community Jaman.com has signed a multi-picture deal with Fortissimo Films, marking the latter's first internet VOD deal in North America.

Under the agreement, Jaman will make available library titles such as Clara Law's Autumn Moon, Sergei Bodrov's Bear Kiss, Alex Van Warmerdam's The Dress, the Pang brothers' Bangkok Dangerous and four films from Shunji Iwai including All About Lily Chou Chou. Jaman delivers feature films in hi-def quality to its worldwide viewers.

'Fortissimo is very excited about being at the forefront of delivering quality world cinema to a global audience' said Michael J. Werner, co-chairman and co-owner of Fortissimo Films. 'Jaman has not only developed an internet service that delivers films in unmatchable quality, but has built community features into the product so people can review and discuss these award winning films.'

'We are honored to be selected by Fortissimo Films to showcase these incredible filmmakers on the Jaman internet service' said Gaurav Dhillon, CEO of Jaman. 'With the addition of the films from our partnership with Fortissimo, Jaman has the strongest collection of world renowned Asian filmmakers on the internet.'

Kathleen Powell, vice president of worldwide programming, negotiated the deal in Toronto with Werner.
