EXCLUSIVE: Fortitude International has struck a deal with Robbie Brenner’s Relativity Squared (R2) to launch sales at EFM on DJ Caruso’s The Tribes Of Palos Verdes.

The move allows Fortitude to tap into a vein of potential awards contenders as Brenner set up the Relativity-owned specialty label to produce prestige titles.

Fortitude co-founders Nadine de Barros, Robert Ogden Barnum and Daniel Wagner are exploring ways of collaborating with Brenner on future titles produced by R2.

Matt Dillon has joined Jennifer Garner and Maika Monroe on The Tribes Of Palos Verdes, about a teenager and her brother who move with their family to an affluent California beach community where the girl takes up surfing to escape their troubled home life.

The story is based on the debut novel by Joy Nicholson and R2 will distribute the drama in the US.
