The Strategic Partners international coproduction market in Canada will focus on France at its 10th anniversary event this September.

The market takes place during Halifax's Atlantic Film Festival. According to Strategic Partners director Jan Miller, exit surveys from the 2006 edition showed 'Canadian interest in working with France is no longer limited to just Quebec.'

The UK and France are Canada's top coproduction partners. France's feature coproduction volume increased from 2004 to 2005; much of that growth was due to Canada/France projects.

'Focusing our attention on France in addition to our core countries, the UK and the US, bringing their best to Canada while we present our best to them, is the perfect way to celebrate our ten years of investment in international co production' said Miller in a statement.

The 10th annual Strategic Partners run September 14-16, 2007. Call for applications will open in May 2007 and close July 9, 2007. The AFF runs Sept 13-22.
