Continuing his foray into Hollywood, French actor Vincent Cassel has taken a role in Stephen Soderbergh's upcoming sequel to Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve. Cassel's Paris-based agent, Laurent Gregoire of Intertalent confirmed the news to Screendaily on Wednesday.

Ocean's Twelve will reunite the all-star cast of the 2001 hit which included George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia. The film is set to begin rolling in early 2004 in such diverse locations as Rome, Paris, Amsterdam and New York

The 37-year old Cassel who, along with his wife Monica Bellucci, is no stranger to Hollywood was recently seen in the Nicole Kidman indie Birthday Girl along with fellow Frenchman Mathieu Kassovitz. Cassel's other American roles include the upcoming The Reckoning with Paul Bettany and Willem Dafoe.

Among his high profile French films are Brotherhood of the Wolf, Crimson Rivers, Irreversible and the upcoming English-language comic book adaptation Blueberry. He will also star in the thriller Secret Agents alongside wife Bellucci.
